4 Stars This was such a fun gothic puzzle book! My favourite thing was actually the illustrations which were incredible. It is basically like a gothic Where's Wally but MUCH harder. So hard in fact that I failed two of the puzzles! Amazon says this book is for 12 years and up and I think that is about right, although children may need help on some of the puzzles. A few of the clues were on the page fold which made things a bit difficult when I couldn't see half of the item. I think that should have been thought about when placing key items. However, it is such a well thought out book with each puzzle to Escape Dracula's Castle based around a creepy story. Really imaginative and a perfect Halloween activity for the family! Definitely recommend for puzzle lovers!

This was a halloween gift for my daughter, the illustrations are beautifully done. The journey the book takes you on is fantastic and put together extremely well. There is many a nod to well known novels. My daughter is an animation and illustration student and recognised and admired the detail of the art work alongside all the hidden messages to other literature and artists. Looking forward to the next book!

Title would make you think this is Dracula themed book but it’s not. Every 2 pages are a different story, from a different author.

I hadn’t seen the recommended age for this book and bought for my 9 year old after we read Dracula earlier this year. This was a book that we would have looked through together regardless so the age didn’t matter so much, however even I had to refer to the answers page frequently to check we were on the right track whilst trying to solve some of the puzzles! I found we were reading the little blurb and then having to reread again, sometimes twice, to try and understand what we were being asked to do. Some instructions were clearer than others and the difficulty levels fluctuated between pages massively! I had other adults look through to check I wasn’t just being completely stupid and they found it as confusing and difficult as me. Loved the idea of this book more than the book itself unfortunately.
